Barry Schochet, Chris Carney, Alan Weinstein, Richard Fiske

 

Christopher M. Carney

 

Mr. Carney has extensive knowledge and leadership experience in medical-surgical, psychiatric and chemical dependency and healthcare administration. In addition, he has substantial experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, home care and physician network management. A wealth of his experience has stemmed from his 24 years with Bon Secours Health System, over eight of which he held the position of President/Chief Executive Officer.  Additionally, he was administrator of Charter Westbrook Hospital and led the business development program of Charter Medical Corporation. Chris is currently CEO of the Virginia Eye Institue and serves on a number of for-profit and not-for-profit boards. Chris holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) and undergraduate degrees in business administration and psychology from St. Louis University.

 

Richard W. Fiske

 

Richard Fiske served as vice president of acquisitions and development for Tenet Health System in Dallas. After playing minor league baseball, Mr. Fiske worked for American Medical International as assistant vice president of acquisition and development, National Medical Enterprises as vice president of acquisition and development for the southern states. Mr. Fiske received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

 

Barry Schochet

 

Barry Schochet has held many healthcare management positions throughout his 30 year career including serving as the Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President for Tenet Healthcare, the hospital division president for National Medical Enterprises, and CEO of Cypress Community Hospital in Pompano Beach, Florida.

 

Alan D. Weinstein

 

Alan Weinstein is currently a board member of and a consultant to healthcare companies whose products and services are used by the hospital industry. He is the retired President of Premier Inc. a strategic alliance of over 1,700 hospitals throughout the United States. Mr. Weinstein left Premier in 2000 after merging his previous company, Premier Health Alliance, with AmHS and SunHealth in 1995. During his tenure at Premier, the Alliance’s members purchased $12 billion annually in goods and services negotiated by Premier on their behalf. The alliance also provided its members with broad-based services including process design, benchmarking, performance improvement, technology assessment, insurance programs and biomedical engineering maintenance programs. From 1983 to 1995, Mr. Weinstein was the CEO and President of Premier Health Alliance, a strategic alliance owned by 54 teaching hospitals across the nation. During his three-decade career in healthcare, Mr. Weinstein has supported medical care organizations in developing shared programs and achieving greater economies of scale. Mr. Weinstein currently also serves on the board of the American International Health Alliance, and is a speaker and writer on collaborative endeavors in hospital and health system management. Mr. Weinstein has a BA from Allegheny College and an MBA from Cornell University.
